Banana ice-cream
« on: October 13, 2008, 07:41:16 PM »

Also known as banana whip.
This is the greatest discovery for children and adults alike. It sounds simple because it is... Frozen bananas.

Take a bunch of ripe bananas, peel them and put them in the freezer (you can keep them in there for a week or so). Take the frozen bananas out of the freezer and put them through a champion juicer with the solid plate, or you can put them in a food processor or blender with a tamp and blend till smooth (but keep frozen). That's it. No sweetener. No milk. No nuthin bad.

Serve in a bowl and eat it with a spoon just like ice cream.

The BEST thing is that you can make virtually any flavor of "ice cream" by adding it to the mix. Some of our favorites:

Chocolate (add cacao powder)
Chocolate Almond (add cacao and almond butter)
Blueberry (add frozen blueberries)

Tell us about your favorite flavor!

There are many paths up the mountain but the view is the same from the top.

I have got to try this! Ice-cream is a weakness of mine, it would be great to have something better for me to replace it.
